About Anushka Arumugasaamy, MD
Dr. Anushka Arumugasaamy is a colorectal surgeon who specializes in the surgical management of colon and rectal cancer, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and benign and malignant anorectal disease.
Dr. Arumugasaamy studied medicine for a simple reason—to improve people’s quality of life. From the beginning, she has enjoyed partnering with patients and creating personalized treatment plans for their unique health needs.
Dr. Arumugasaamy is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery.

I love the entire experience from the moment I walked in to the lobby to talking with the representatives at the desk to set me up to speak with the doctor also the nursing staff, and then on top of that when the doctor walked in perfect timing so excited and that is the reason why I chose to come back to get my rector exam with WellStar because of the treatment I received my first time.

The nurse that took my vitals was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. A made me feel super comfortable and guided me with the next steps. Also based off the notes in my chart, I can tell she was listening to me the entire time. I haven't had another provider document as accurately as she did. She even took notes while i was taking to her.
