Breast Cancer
We perform surgery to diagnose and treat breast cancers. Additional staging information may be obtained in your case, including a sentinel lymph node biopsy. This test helps us determine if the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes.Breast cancer surgery is a critical step in treatment. But it can also impact how you feel about your body. We use oncoplastic techniques, which combine breast cancer treatment with plastic surgery. This enables us to remove the cancer and ensure the best possible cosmetic outcome. We offer skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction by our plastic surgeons. If reconstruction is not an option at the time of your initial procedure, it can always be offered in the future.
Our breast program is also nationally accredited by the NAPBC (National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers), which ensures we practice the most up-to-date national guidelines and standards for breast cancer treatment.
