While providing tools for resiliency and wellness is the right thing to do for our clinical teams, patient outcomes and safety also improve as a result.
For years, healthcare providers have prioritized care for our patients. While this remains essential, we also recognize that our caregivers have needs. Neglecting those needs can lead to stress and burnout. This is why Wellstar actively pursues thoughtful and proactive approaches to improve quality of life and encourage team members to maintain a successful work-life balance.
Creating a culture of wellness
Opportunities to improve provider and nurse wellness and resiliency started as in-person events. We are evolving our tools to include virtual learning and support as well as other methods to infuse wellness into our workforce culture.
We have learned our programs are most successful when they are customized for specific groups such as physicians and advanced practice providers, nurses and other team members. To address wellness, we have developed and continue to refine a menu of customized options to support each group to attain successful work-life balance.
