Interventional Pulmonary Medicine
Our interventional pulmonologists diagnose and treat people who have lung masses, enlarged lymph nodes or problems with their airways.
Expert & Specialized Care for Lung Conditions
Interventional pulmonary medicine is a subspecialty of pulmonary medicine. Wellstar’s interventional pulmonologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the airway, lung and pleura using advanced minimally invasive endoscopic and percutaneous procedures.
This highly trained, deeply experienced group of physicians care for patients in Wellstar’s hospitals and pulmonary medicine practices to diagnose and treat patients who have lung masses, enlarged lymph nodes or problems with their airways, among other conditions. With these experts, our patients have access to advanced non-invasive procedures to diagnose and manage diseases involving the chest in one of our world-class bronchoscopy suites.
Our physicians work with thoracic surgery, medical oncology and radiation oncology to provide our patients with convenient, multidisciplinary care. Our interventional pulmonary physicians are an integral part of the Wellstar Lung Cancer STAT Clinic, the Incidental Lung Nodule Clinic and Wellstar Lung Cancer Screening program.
