If your child needs specialized care for ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions, our pediatric ENT surgery team offers comprehensive services from board-certified and fellowship-trained experts. We also have the only Cleft and Craniofacial Center in the region. We provide advanced treatment for cleft lip, palate and other craniofacial conditions.

Our Child Life Specialists ease your child’s anxiety and help them understand their treatment. These professionals provide emotional support and engage your child in activities that make the hospital experience easier to understand and less scary.

Pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery

We provide specialized surgeries if your child has a cleft palate, cleft lip or a craniofacial condition. Our expert team cares for children from birth through age 21 and includes pediatric plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons and otolaryngologists (ENT physicians). Our team also includes:

• Audiologists: Monitor hearing throughout childhood
• Orthodontists: Guide the growth and development of the face and mouth. We offer nasoalveolar molding (NAM), a technique to improve appearance and function before surgery.
• Psychologists: Support the emotional well-being of patients, promote a positive body image and help address challenges like bullying or anxiety
• Speech therapists: Assist with feeding challenges and speech development

Prenatal consultations

If your unborn baby is diagnosed with a cleft or craniofacial condition, we encourage you to schedule a prenatal consultation with our plastic surgeons. During this visit, we will answer your questions, discuss your baby’s treatment plan and help you prepare for their care after delivery. Together, we will create a plan to support your child’s health and well-being from the beginning.
