Pediatric Neurology
Pediatric neurology, also known as child neurology, works with babies, children, and adolescents with conditions of the nervous system, including the brain, spine, nerves and muscles.
Specialized Neuro Care for Children
Wellstar’s board-certified pediatric neurologists have extensive training and are uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat children who have headaches, seizures, delayed speech or motor skills, muscle weakness or a variety of inherited disorders.
Our highly-specialized pediatric neurologists commonly perform tests to diagnose and monitor conditions, including electroencephalogram (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CT scan, lumbar puncture (spinal tap) and basic lab tests.
Our pediatric neurologists work in collaboration with other physicians such as pediatricians and primary care doctors, as well as physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists to help children develop to their highest potential.
