Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
Wellstar Pathologist support physicians throughout the system by examining tissues and fluids in order to understand, diagnose and prevent illness.
Pathology Services
Wellstar pathologists are passionate about understanding the causes and nature of diseases. Wellstar’s clinical pathologists analyze body fluids like urine and blood. Anatomic pathologists examine cells, molecules and surgically removed tissue. Using advanced approaches like molecular diagnostics, our pathologists assess DNA and other factors to determine if cells are malignant (cancerous) or if the tissue contains bacteria or other agents that are making you sick.
Wellstar’s laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathology (CAP) and the laboratory’s highly trained pathologists are board certified in both branches of pathology.
