At Wellstar Paulding, our interventional cardiologists evaluate and provide outpatient care close to home for patients with structural heart conditions. We coordinate with Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center when treatment procedures are needed.Cardiac Catheterization

Wellstar Paulding Medical Center has met and seeks to maintain The Joint Commission’s high standards in providing the next generation of cardiac care.As a Joint Commission certified Heart Attack Center, our team of dedicated cardiologists and emergency department clinicians work closely with emergency personnel so we are ready to respond to heart attacks quickly, when every minute counts. This accreditation means you can trust our team to provide fast, effective treatment that can help prevent severe damage to your heart.
Device Implantation
Wellstar Paulding Medical Center specializes in implanting permanent cardiac devices, such as pacemakers to help control your heartbeat and defibrillators to monitor your heart rhythm. We also provide routine follow-up care, which includes:- Device care. Your electrophysiologist will ensure your device is working properly by adjusting your device settings as needed and checking battery life.
- Therapy. Proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, an exercise routine and medication management all play an important role in your recovery and on-going heart health. After device implantation, we’ll work closely with you to make sure you’re on a path toward healing and improved health.
Cardiac Diagnostics & Imaging

Cardiovascular Behavioral Medicine
Our cardiovascular behavioral medicine team empowers people with heart conditions to achieve their health goals, manage emotions related to their condition and help avoid rehospitalization. Sometimes low mood, panic, overwhelming emotions, difficulties with problem-solving or memory, frustration with making change, and chronic fatigue get in the way of progress. Our heart-focused behavioral health team members use scientifically-supported approaches to help people overcome these barriers. If you have a cardiac condition, have made a good-faith effort at change and are still struggling to achieve health goal success, a referral to one of our clinicians could help.Our office is in Marietta but we offer virtual appointments depending on your preference and clinical needs.
