Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) Program
As part of Wellstar’s pulmonary embolism response team, our experts across many specialties work together to rapidly assess and provide treatment for patients with Acute PE (pulmonary embolism). We also now have state-of-the-art catheter-based therapy, thanks to the new Eko Sonic Endovascular System (EKOS) machine here at Wellstar Douglas. If you or a loved one needs treatment for a blood clot, your surgeon will use EKOS to locate the clot and deliver ultrasound energy and medication to help dissolve it.Cardiovascular Behavioral Medicine
Our cardiovascular behavioral medicine team empowers people with heart conditions to achieve their health goals, manage emotions related to their condition and help avoid rehospitalization.
