Appointments and Cancellations
Thank you for choosing Northwest Georgia Oncology Center for patient-centered care for cancer and blood disorders. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and get your first appointment scheduled quickly.
To make an appointment, get a second opinion or if you are a physician’s office referring a new patient, please call our referral line at
(678) 331-3277. If you were referred to us by another physician, your first appointment may already be scheduled at a location nearest you.

Hospitalization
If a patient is hospitalized, our physicians at this practice have privileges at Wellstar Cobb Medical Center.
Insurance and Payments
Wellstar works hard to create lasting relationships with medical insurance companies to ensure you’re receiving the best possible care. As you receive cancer care and treatment here by Northwest Georgia Oncology physicians, Wellstar confirms your primary insurance coverage, explains your benefits and files insurance claims with your carrier.
If your insurance plan requires a referral for office visits, a referral must be received prior to your visit.
Payment is expected at the time of service for office visits and most plans require a co-payment at the time of visit.
If you require hospitalization, we will file primary insurance claims for any physician services provided to you while at the hospital. Our participation in insurance plans is subject to change. Please notify us if you expect a change to your insurance or if your address or phone number changes.

Prescription Refills
To better serve your prescription needs, Wellstar and Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers offer a specialty pharmacy at
Wellstar Cancer Center at Cobb Medical Center
serving patients from all of our locations to help expedite treatment. The pharmacy is staffed by a pharmacist and pharmacy technicians with expertise in oncology and hematology medications and resources. Specializing in oncology and hematology drugs, most are kept in stock to prevent treatment delay. We provide expedited service at the time of your appointment and checkout.
