As you receive cancer care and treatment here by Northwest Georgia Oncology physicians, Wellstar confirms your primary insurance coverage, explains your benefits and files insurance claims with your carrier. If your insurance plan requires a referral for office visits, a referral must be received prior to your visit. Payment is expected at the time of service for office visits and most plans require a co-payment at the time of service. For patients requiring additional financial assistance, an office representative will help develop a payment plan and file your insurance accordingly. If you require hospitalization, we will file primary insurance claims for any physician services provided to you while at the hospital. Our participation in insurance plans is subject to change.
