College Volunteer Program at Wellstar Kennestone

College Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center.

There is a minimum commitment of 12 weeks of service required for College Volunteers. If you are able to meet this commitment, please follow the process outlined below to become a volunteer.

Please note that if you are planning to volunteer during the summer break, you must have a completed application on file by April 30 and attend an orientation in May to be eligible for that opportunity.

Becoming a Wellstar Volunteer

Complete the online application.
Provide current Immunization Record:

Birthdate prior to 1957: No immunization records required.
Birthdate of 1957 or after: Obtain proof of immunizations. We require proof of two Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), two Varicella immunizations, or proof that you have had the disease, as well as documentation of the Tdap (Pertussis/Whooping Cough) vaccination.

All volunteers are required to obtain an Influenza Vaccine each flu season (September-March).

Once all the required information is received, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. If, after the interview, you are selected to become a Wellstar Kennestone Volunteer, you will be required to authorize a background check, get TB testing, and attend an orientation session prior to your start date.
