Kindergarten through 5th Grade
In a world of television, video games, and computers, this program teaches children the importance of physical activity. Students will learn fun ways to exercise in a variety of settings and the positive effects of physical fitness.
Healthy Choices for the Future
The following free programs meet the Georgia Performance Standards and are designed for grades K-5*. These topics are intended to increase students' knowledge of the importance of overall health. Our trained staff teaches a variety of topics including safety, nutrition and physical activity. Each grade level can choose up to three programs per year. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis.

Get Fit

Just Eat It
As students grow older, they become more responsible for the food choices that they make. This fun, hands-on, class uses the USDA MyPlate to introduce habits that will lead to a lifetime of healthy eating. Participants will explore MyPlate and use it to create healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Temper Tamers
With the rise in violence among our youth, this program teaches students how to use problem-solving techniques to deal with anger, negative feelings, conflict and confrontation.
Wheel Wise
How should a seat belt fit? Why should you wear a bike helmet? These are just a couple of the topics that students will learn about during this fun, educational program. Content covers vehicle safety as well as safety on bikes, roller blades, scooters, skateboards and much more.
