I wanted to share that I felt very comfortable with my provider. I've been dismissed by doctors a lot in the past for symptoms that I experienced that have been lifelong. And the second that I told my doctor, Tamara Underwood, my symptoms and my struggles, she immediately jumped into action. She validated me. And when I expressed self-doubt about myself, not only did she respond in a medically appropriate way, but he also was just a kind human being and made me feel like I was valuable as a person and as a patient. And it's one of the best experiences I have had with a doctor to date.

I felt the provider was polite, but disconnected. I was never questioned in a way that would indicate interest in understanding my situation. The entire appointment felt like the practice was checking off a list instead of getting to know the patient (me). I understand that providers have limited time. I would have felt much more comfortable and validated if the provider showed interest in who I am as a human, which in turn helps the provider understand why my blood pressure has been so high. The encounter felt simply disconnected. I doubt that was the intention.

These funds are provided from my employer as part of my compensation and to not be able to use them for Welstar services is a huge oversight on Welstar's part.
