Supriya Rao, MD

I felt like a number not a person. It was like I was just another check off on a task list. I came in for blood work and a referred ultrasound to check for fibroids. I provided information because it seemed like the only questions necessary were do you eat well, exercise, and stress.... Not even one mention of why I was concerned or what brought me in here. I did not receive the referred ultrasound instead the Dr. wasn't going to recommend it but I was able to advocate for myself and she sat up ANOTHER appointment for it even thought I was supposed to receive it at this appointment. It was a discouraging experience but I pray for those who are going through serious issues when the Dr. determines they're "fine" just because they seem normal and things continue to go unnoticed or undiagnosed simply because a patient became a check list instead of a person. I know work is stressful and hospitals may not have a lot of assistance but patients pay A LOT even with insurance to be seen and provided with care. I feel like I received more information from a google search rather than my appointment. No talk of what fibroids even is how it could effect me, nothing. I won't go to the hospital if I don't have to and this is a large part of the reason.

I would suggest letting the patients know that a urine sample will be needed prior to any procedures being done. I urinated and washed up prior to my procedure only to be told that the procedure would not happen until I provided a urine sample, which took an additional 30 mins. Sitting in the office for 30mins waiting to pee was not apart of my plans that day.

It's unfortunate that there is not an ultrasound tech at this location. The scheduler offered an appt to the person in front of me next week, but offered me one 3 weeks out as it's somehow tied to the schedule of the ordering physician. This process seems flawed to me, and could result in delay of care. While it's not ordered stat, it's important to my health as a concerned patient. Overall, the level of service has been trending downhill.

I have an issue that no one wants to figure out. They just want to prescribe birth control pills. My issue isn't contraception. The provider said it could be my hormones but testing is too hard. I don't care if testing is hard, I am tired of bleeding for a month straight - that is hard. I wish someone would listen to my issues and if there isn't a quick solve, go on a journey with me to figure it out. Prescribe birth control isn't the issue. I've been to this practice a few times to a few different providers over the years and guess what, it is the same recommendation. So very disappointing. Improve women's healthcare please. Don't just birth control as a fix all for our problems. We deserve more.

The MA who checked me in and did my health history and vitals was AMAZING. She was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. This was my first time at the office... Dr. Rao was very personable. Though the appointment was only a few minutes long. She answered all my questions and helped make an uncomfortable procedure less scary. Overall good visit... hate that I had to pay for parking though (not consistent with other WellStar offices)

I've never felt so welcome in a doctors office. The Front Desk Receptionist was friendly, and helpful. She was efficient and helped me get to the back quickly because I needed the restroom. I was in the office for a routine annual exam and there was virtually no wait. The Medical Assistant / Nurse (I'm not sure which she was) was super friendly and kind to me. By the time I got to the physician I was already impressed by the way this office was running. The doctor was nice and attentive. She was quick but I didn't feel like she was trying to rush to get to the next person. She sent my prescription to the pharmacy while we were talking. Everything was so efficient, everyone was so nice and I can't remember having such a pleasant experience for a visit I definitely don't look forward to.

Being employed with WellStar as a Medical Assistant, I will say that I really liked the MA that roomed me, her energy and concern was so wholesome. I felt as if I had a longer in depth conversation with her about my issues than I had with the actual Doctor. The visit with the actual DR was so fast, I don't have much to say about her, but I do hope if I continue to stay with this location, that my next visits won't feel rushed.

I would suggest letting the patients know that a urine sample will be needed prior to any procedures being done. I urinated and washed up prior to my procedure only to be told that the procedure would not happen until I provided a urine sample, which took an additional 30 mins. Sitting in the office for 30mins waiting to pee was not apart of my plans that day.

I've never felt so welcome in a doctors office. The Front Desk Receptionist was friendly, and helpful. She was efficient and helped me get to the back quickly because I needed the restroom. I was in the office for a routine annual exam and there was virtually no wait. The Medical Assistant / Nurse (I'm not sure which she was) was super friendly and kind to me. By the time I got to the physician I was already impressed by the way this office was running. The doctor was nice and attentive. She was quick but I didn't feel like she was trying to rush to get to the next person. She sent my prescription to the pharmacy while we were talking. Everything was so efficient, everyone was so nice and I can't remember having such a pleasant experience for a visit I definitely don't look forward to.

The MA who checked me in and did my health history and vitals was AMAZING. She was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. This was my first time at the office... Dr. Rao was very personable. Though the appointment was only a few minutes long. She answered all my questions and helped make an uncomfortable procedure less scary. Overall good visit... hate that I had to pay for parking though (not consistent with other WellStar offices)

Doctor came in and was more than obvious she was in a hurry. Interrupted me twice as I tried quickly explaining my symptoms. She could not wait to leave the room. Did not feel listened to or taken care of. Did not ask me if i had any questions. Will not be going back to this provider.

Dr. Rao was a great listener. I felt very comfortable explaining my concerns and she gave me the feedback that that was warranted at the time. The time that I went to the exam room to the time I left, it was like less than 30 minutes, basically in and out and I was very appreciative of that and I would like to say for you guys to keep up the good job because you're doing great and providing patient care.

I have an issue that no one wants to figure out. They just want to prescribe birth control pills. My issue isn't contraception. The provider said it could be my hormones but testing is too hard. I don't care if testing is hard, I am tired of bleeding for a month straight - that is hard. I wish someone would listen to my issues and if there isn't a quick solve, go on a journey with me to figure it out. Prescribe birth control isn't the issue. I've been to this practice a few times to a few different providers over the years and guess what, it is the same recommendation. So very disappointing. Improve women's healthcare please. Don't just birth control as a fix all for our problems. We deserve more.

It's unfortunate that there is not an ultrasound tech at this location. The scheduler offered an appt to the person in front of me next week, but offered me one 3 weeks out as it's somehow tied to the schedule of the ordering physician. This process seems flawed to me, and could result in delay of care. While it's not ordered stat, it's important to my health as a concerned patient. Overall, the level of service has been trending downhill.

Anytime you go to the doctors office and the staff is just kind you really appreciate sitting there waiting on a doctor kindness is everything to me and that staff had it all. Thank you so much for everything you did for me.

I would suggest letting the patients know that a urine sample will be needed prior to any procedures being done. I urinated and washed up prior to my procedure only to be told that the procedure would not happen until I provided a urine sample, which took an additional 30 mins. Sitting in the office for 30mins waiting to pee was not apart of my plans that day.

I felt like a number not a person. It was like I was just another check off on a task list. I came in for blood work and a referred ultrasound to check for fibroids. I provided information because it seemed like the only questions necessary were do you eat well, exercise, and stress.... Not even one mention of why I was concerned or what brought me in here. I did not receive the referred ultrasound instead the Dr. wasn't going to recommend it but I was able to advocate for myself and she sat up ANOTHER appointment for it even thought I was supposed to receive it at this appointment. It was a discouraging experience but I pray for those who are going through serious issues when the Dr. determines they're "fine" just because they seem normal and things continue to go unnoticed or undiagnosed simply because a patient became a check list instead of a person. I know work is stressful and hospitals may not have a lot of assistance but patients pay A LOT even with insurance to be seen and provided with care. I feel like I received more information from a google search rather than my appointment. No talk of what fibroids even is how it could effect me, nothing. I won't go to the hospital if I don't have to and this is a large part of the reason.
