I was not happy with my visit and I would like to personally talk to someone and not leave it on a recording.

Staff took a long time to call me. The NP did not listen to me and did not read what the nurse wrote down before she entered. Then she assumed one symptom was the cause of the other. I had to go another expert and found the two symptoms were independent of each other. What a waste of time! Also, the symptom she focused on was due to me being dehydrated from fasting so I could get the blood test. So no issue!!!

I greatly enjoyed my interaction with Nurse Practitioner Suny. She listened to all of my concerns and handled my information and health with care. She even called me that evening to explain my labs. That has NEVER happened. She reassured me there was nothing to be concerned about but also shared what I can do to take better control of my health. She also told me specifically where to go and who to follow up with. She explained my benefits very clearly in terms of my insurance not performing PAPS SMEARS every year which was different from what the medical assistant told me. I would see her again in the event my regular PCP was absent. On the other hand, I gathered that the medical assistant that checked me in was new. She read from the screen and also had me undress from the bottom down for an annual PAPS SMEAR when I didn't have too. Imagine the embarrassment when the nurse comes in and you are naked from the outside waist down. She took an inaccurate BP that was higher and gave me anxiety and didn't offer to retake. It just felt very much like she was checking off a box. We've all been new before so I didn't say anything about it then but it is my sincere hope that she works on genuine bedside manner and also learn your job in a way that the patient feels confident that they can trust you with their health concerns.
