While every aspect of my care (and this was my first visit) was all that could be expected, 1 thing bothered me. WellStar Cardiology has the entire 3rd floor @ 55 Whitcher St. Yet, patient check-in and discharge are done from 1 desk, facing the full waiting room in the Blue Room. This is a problem when someone needs to discuss personal matters, specifically financial matters. Several people within my easy hearing were were asked if they wanted to pay certain outstanding balances. One person in particular had to negotiate a payment plan for all to hear as he stood at the counter. I have never experienced this at any other practice in my memory. It is embarrassing to the individual being asked for payment of a large sum. Surely, as much space as the practice occupies, a separate "exit" counter could be arranged for payment upon completion of a visit. No person's private financial situation should be exposed to the general public.

I arrived at Wellstar at 10:30 a.m. complaining of chest pain and bleeding from my rectum. It seemed as though they were about to be on it because they checked my vitals and sat me back in the waiting area. I waited and I waited and I waited. No one checked on me in reference to my chest pain. Finally I talked to the receptionist to find out what's taking so long.They finally moved me in another hallway that was terrible. It was probably another 30 people in this hallway. People sick, throwing g up and all sorts of stuff. I asked if they could get someone to periodically come around and sweep up and sanitize and get the sneaks bags up off the floor. The nurse looked at me as if I was talking Spanish. Again I waited. Finally they brought me to the original waiting room so I can get a EKG. Got that and they put me back in the waiting area. Next around 5:00 p.m. They drew some blood and those ladies were really nice and overworked. I can appreciate them. Long story short, this was the worse emergency room I have been to in my life!!! Just to refer me out to someone else. I received no results!! Thank God for mychart. This is the worst emergency room I've ever been too. I finally left about 8 pm with no results. At the end of the day it's a business! That's it! Dr and nurse could careless about how you feel. Terrible!!

Yes, when I walked in, everyone was there to greet me and the girls at the front desk were very thoughtful, very kind. We had a nice discussion. I didn't have to wait very long and it was always nice to see Dr. Kansal. She's a wonderful, wonderful doctor and a privilege to see her and I look forward to seeing her again soon. Although, I don't really want to come back because I'm ill, but it was just nice to see her. And we talked and she did an examination and see if I had any questions and basically I didn't. I had talked to the girl that helped me before. So, it was very nice to see her and I was very happy to have the experience that I did. Thank you.

She outlined a game plan to follow to have good heart health. She was, as always professional, a good listener, and addressed me politely. Julie checked me out and outlined my next appointment. Although, I don't really want to come back because I'm ill, but it was just nice to see her. And we talked and she did an examination and see if I had any questions and basically I didn't. I had talked to the girl that helped me before. So, it was very nice to see her and I was very happy to have the experience that I did. Thank you.

I arrived at Wellstar at 10:30 a.m. complaining of chest pain and bleeding from my rectum. It seemed as though they were about to be on it because they checked my vitals and sat me back in the waiting area. I waited and I waited and I waited. No one checked on me in reference to my chest pain. Finally I talked to the receptionist to find out what's taking so long.They finally moved me in another hallway that was terrible. It was probably another 30 people in this hallway. People sick, throwing g up and all sorts of stuff. I asked if they could get someone to periodically come around and sweep up and sanitize and get the sneaks bags up off the floor. The nurse looked at me as if I was talking Spanish. Again I waited. Finally they brought me to the original waiting room so I can get a EKG. Got that and they put me back in the waiting area. Next around 5:00 p.m. They drew some blood and those ladies were really nice and overworked. I can appreciate them. Long story short, this was the worse emergency room I have been to in my life!!! Just to refer me out to someone else. I received no results!! Thank God for mychart. This is the worst emergency room I've ever been too. I finally left about 8 pm with no results. At the end of the day it's a business! That's it! Dr and nurse could careless about how you feel. Terrible!!

While every aspect of my care (and this was my first visit) was all that could be expected, 1 thing bothered me. WellStar Cardiology has the entire 3rd floor @ 55 Whitcher St. Yet, patient check-in and discharge are done from 1 desk, facing the full waiting room in the Blue Room. This is a problem when someone needs to discuss personal matters, specifically financial matters. Several people within my easy hearing were were asked if they wanted to pay certain outstanding balances. One person in particular had to negotiate a payment plan for all to hear as he stood at the counter. I have never experienced this at any other practice in my memory. It is embarrassing to the individual being asked for payment of a large sum. Surely, as much space as the practice occupies, a separate "exit" counter could be arranged for payment upon completion of a visit. No person's private financial situation should be exposed to the general public.
