Dr. Harley and the staff at Wellstar Pediatrics Austell are always pleasant, timely, knowledgeable, supportive and listen attentively. We have never had a bad experience at this location and look forward to continuing our journey here as we expand our family.

The way the nurse treated my child was unacceptable. His vision and hearing test was not explained to him in an age appropriate way. He's 4, not 12. The vision test needs to be revised and be more practical. The vision test was not explained to him in an age appropriate way. And without hesitation she immediately failed him because I said he doesn't know all those shapes and told me I would have to go to a specialist. I told her to let him try the vision test after I explained it to him in an age appropriate way, because she did not. He called out the shapes he knew very clearly, but because he didn't know the names of some, she failed him. I don't agree with that. He identified what he knew and because he didn't know certain shape names, his vision is failed?? The hearing test. She said sit down, soaked the headphones in alcohol and put them on his head. Then says, when you hear the beep in the right ear raise your right hand. And said the same for the left. What four year old knows there right and left? So after she was rushing that and not explaining anything at an age appropriate level, I had to intervene and explain the test to him. By that point she overwhelmed him and failed him. When it was time for vaccinations, I explained to Dr Harley that after being in the ICU one month ago after a traumatic event, my child would need someone to give him his shots quietly and quickly while I held him. Dr. Harley agreed. The nurse enters the room, I said the exact same thing to her. She said he had to lay a certain way on the table. I lay him flat, let her bend his legs and she put his legs between hers. I have no problem with that. I had his upper body, which he was not moving, he was not fighting, but he was screaming in absolute fear. She proceeded to argue with me while my child is being held down on how I have to put my hands a certain way or she was going to have to get another nurse. Again, my child was not resisting, fighting, straining, nothing, just screaming in fear, While the nurse was still arguing with me, making the situation more stressful for him. After I told her three times to give him the shots, she got an attitude and finally did them. The entire scenario was beyond unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I have been coming to this pediatric office with my children since 2005. Literally 20 years and never had an issue until today. I feel like my child was set up for failure for his vision and hearing tests. Which now requires me to reschedule and come back in hopes that the same person is not administering these tests so I can get the proper documents for school enrollment. There was zero compassion for a simple request when it came to his vaccinations. I'm appalled by this experience and I hope there is reprimand for the nurse.

Hello. I really enjoyed my time with the doctor. She did reassure us of concerns that we had and made sure that we knew that they weren't, you know, concerned. However, the scheduling conflict, every time that I've called or tried to schedule an appointment, even when I left from actually having an appointment, it's always a headache. It's always a hassle. And it's nothing to that doctor specifically, but I don't know if it's the system that you all use or if the turnover of people who schedule are new, but it is a hassle every single time. So I would recommend, and that is the only reason why I would not, that's the only reason I would not recommend this location for anyone.

Dr. Harley and her nurses always take the time to listen to any concerns, let's us know step by step when they are about to do anything or something different during the exam. We usually are seen at the Mulkey rd office. On this visit the Smyrna Front Office Staff was the most unfriendly and unprofessional experience I've ever had. Dr. Harley was amazing as usual, but the rest of the interactions were very disappointing.

Then says, when you hear the beep in the right ear raise your right hand. And said the same for the left. What four year old knows there right and left? So after she was rushing that and not explaining anything at an age appropriate level, I had to intervene and explain the test to him. By that point she overwhelmed him and failed him. When it was time for vaccinations, I explained to Dr Harley that after being in the ICU one month ago after a traumatic event, my child would need someone to give him his shots quietly and quickly while I held him. Dr. Harley agreed. The nurse enters the room, I said the exact same thing to her. She said he had to lay a certain way on the table. I lay him flat, let her bend his legs and she put his legs between hers. I have no problem with that. I had his upper body, which he was not moving, he was not fighting, but he was screaming in absolute fear. Dr. Harley and her nurses always take the time to listen to any concerns, let's us know step by step when they are about to do anything or something different during the exam. Dr. Harley goes above and beyond to make sure we understand and are comfortable with the current treatments or any changes that needs to be made. I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Harley and all the staff at this office

The way the nurse treated my child was unacceptable. His vision and hearing test was not explained to him in an age appropriate way. He's 4, not 12. The vision test needs to be revised and be more practical. The vision test was not explained to him in an age appropriate way. And without hesitation she immediately failed him because I said he doesn't know all those shapes and told me I would have to go to a specialist. I told her to let him try the vision test after I explained it to him in an age appropriate way, because she did not. He called out the shapes he knew very clearly, but because he didn't know the names of some, she failed him. I don't agree with that. He identified what he knew and because he didn't know certain shape names, his vision is failed?? The hearing test. She said sit down, soaked the headphones in alcohol and put them on his head. Then says, when you hear the beep in the right ear raise your right hand. And said the same for the left. What four year old knows there right and left? So after she was rushing that and not explaining anything at an age appropriate level, I had to intervene and explain the test to him. By that point she overwhelmed him and failed him. When it was time for vaccinations, I explained to Dr Harley that after being in the ICU one month ago after a traumatic event, my child would need someone to give him his shots quietly and quickly while I held him. Dr. Harley agreed. The nurse enters the room, I said the exact same thing to her. She said he had to lay a certain way on the table. I lay him flat, let her bend his legs and she put his legs between hers. I have no problem with that. I had his upper body, which he was not moving, he was not fighting, but he was screaming in absolute fear. She proceeded to argue with me while my child is being held down on how I have to put my hands a certain way or she was going to have to get another nurse. Again, my child was not resisting, fighting, straining, nothing, just screaming in fear, While the nurse was still arguing with me, making the situation more stressful for him. After I told her three times to give him the shots, she got an attitude and finally did them. The entire scenario was beyond unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I have been coming to this pediatric office with my children since 2005. Literally 20 years and never had an issue until today. I feel like my child was set up for failure for his vision and hearing tests. Which now requires me to reschedule and come back in hopes that the same person is not administering these tests so I can get the proper documents for school enrollment. There was zero compassion for a simple request when it came to his vaccinations. I'm appalled by this experience and I hope there is reprimand for the nurse.

Dr. Harley and the staff at Wellstar Pediatrics Austell are always pleasant, timely, knowledgeable, supportive and listen attentively. We have never had a bad experience at this location and look forward to continuing our journey here as we expand our family.

Hello. I really enjoyed my time with the doctor. She did reassure us of concerns that we had and made sure that we knew that they weren't, you know, concerned. However, the scheduling conflict, every time that I've called or tried to schedule an appointment, even when I left from actually having an appointment, it's always a headache. It's always a hassle. And it's nothing to that doctor specifically, but I don't know if it's the system that you all use or if the turnover of people who schedule are new, but it is a hassle every single time. So I would recommend, and that is the only reason why I would not, that's the only reason I would not recommend this location for anyone.
