About Paul Guichard, DO
A native of California, Dr. Guichard graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a major in biochemistry and cell biology. He received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed his residency and both general cardiology and interventional fellowships at the University of Cincinnati. Dr Guichard was also on faculty at the University of Cincinnati as a Clinical Instructor.
He is board certified in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Special interests include acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, and preventative cardiology. Dr Guichard is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is on staff at Wellstar Kennestone hospital.

I appreciate getting alternative points of view but this provider appeared intolerant of any but his own. He also seemed rushed. He was dismissive of views different from his own, including those of other cardiologist within the same practice. He was also very opinionated about the use of metrics obtained from devices outside the office, including Apple watch (or similar) health monitors.

The lab service is the worst! They don't have supplies, and when you call, you're on hold for at least 45 minutes waiting for a representative to answer. Customer service and respect are nonexistent at Wellstar.

Yes, my only problem is that it was scheduled for me to get there 15 minutes early, which I did, and then it turns out that I didn't get to see the provider or anyone until about 30 minutes, and I was the last one patient to leave the office that day. Other than that, it was okay.

Checked in and was called back within 3-5 minutes. The CMA, Taraia (?) was friendly but professional. She updated my chart and asked all the questions. She then let the provider know I was ready. Dr Guichard came in and listened to my concerns with a solution to every one of the them. Very pleasant visit.
