Orrin Swayze, MD

O. Scott Swayze, MD has been providing orthopedic care to patients of Pinnacle Orthopedics since he joined the group in 1992. He offers orthopedic treatment to patients in the Hiram, Marietta, and Woodstock locations. Dr. Swayze is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who treats a wide variety of orthopedic problems. He specializes in general orthopedics, total joint replacement and sports medicine.

Dr. Swayze received his bachelor of science in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. His general surgery Internship and his orthopedic surgery residency were both completed at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Swayze is a member of the Wellstar Board of Trustees and is a member of several local, state and national orthopedic associations. He has also been the team physician for many local schools and sporting events.

Dr. Swayze currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Carol, and their dogs, Jackson and Rosie. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, church, and activities with his five children and two grandchildren.
