About Nydia Bladuell, MD
Dr. Nydia Bladuell is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. She earned her medical degree in 1986 at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico where she graduated with honors at the top of her class. Dr. Bladuell completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City, where she was Chief Resident her senior year followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Seton Hall University St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center where she was Chief Cardiology Fellow her senior year.
Her special interests include non-coronary intervention, nuclear cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, and women and heart disease.
Dr. Bladuell joined Wellstar Cardiovascular Medicine in April, 2009. She is currently on staff at Wellstar Kennestone and Cobb hospitals.
Dr. Bladuell is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and was selected as one of America’s Top Cardiologists for 2010.
Dr. Bladuell is married. Her hobbies include exercise and golf. She is fluent in Spanish.

My provider was over an hour late to my appointment. I understand she was attending to an emergent problem. That' said, it's incumbent upon her and her staff to communicate that with patients. If I showed up an hour late to an appointment, I would not be allowed to see the physician. I am busy too. Although I'm not saving lives, I have a schedule I need to keep.

We were told we owed money for this visit. Papers in my chart to sign. We have secondary insurance that covers what Medicare doesn't. You had to be well aware of my secondary insurance. I have experience Wellstar calling for payments that my insurance company said we did not owe.

Dr Bladuell is wonderful doctor. She has been my family cardiologist doctor for a very long time. She has saved my mother's life by making sure my mom had a precheck before a back surgery which saved her life. She was blocked and had to have bypass heart surgery. I trust her and she has been very good to us. She's extremely knowledgeable. Very thankful for her.

The nurse was not very nice!! When she went to lay down the table, she only told me to set up straight. Nothing about her laying down the table. So when she started to lay it down, I went backwards a little. She got upset with me telling me she did not want to get hurt. If I had known exactly what she was doing, maybe I would not have moved backward, but since I did not, I did. I really did not appreciate her actions toward me. I even said when she told me to lay back if she was sure, since I am such a bad person!!!
