Nicolas Bonnaig, MD

Dr. Nicolas Bonnaig is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is Fellowship Trained in Sports Medicine. In addition to Sports Medicine, his specialties include general orthopedics, arthroscopic surgery, reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee, and fracture care. He sees patients in the East Cobb and Marietta offices.

Dr. Bonnaig graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Minor in Chemistry. He received his Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati. He then completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at The Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Bonnaig has received numerous academic honors and awards including graduating Cum Laude from Meharry Medical College, the Matthew Walker Surgical Society Award -awarded to the top medical student in surgery, and the Boston College AHANA Scholars Award. During his fellowship training he served as an assistant team physician for the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies, University of Memphis, and the Triple A affiliate for the Saint Louis Cardinals, the Memphis Red Birds. He has served as team physician for local area high schools in Memphis and Cincinnati. He has served as the team physician for Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia and is currently a team physician for Kennesaw State University.

Dr. Bonnaig is involved in research and education. He has published articles and textbook chapters related to injuries of the Shoulder, Elbow and Knee and given lectures to orthopedic residents in training.

Dr. Bonnaig and his wife live in Marietta with their children. During his free time, he enjoys playing sports, international travel, and spending time with his family.
