About Melissa Martinez, DO
Dr. Martinez received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Michigan State University and competed her residency, where she served as chief resident, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI.
Dr. Martinez previously served as team physician for the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate team and the Worcester Red Sox. She also served as the team physician for Worcester State University as well as other local colleges and high schools in the Worcester area. She served as an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2018-2022.

I think Dr. Martinez is exceptional, and I feel fortunate that she is my doctor. My only comment would be is that when you end up having, I think, as a medical assistant, at the beginning, it would be nice for them to say who they are and what their role is, that I'm the medical assistant or whatever they are, because it's consistent when I go to Well STAR practices that you end up being in the room talking to someone but you don't know who it is and you don't know what their role is or why they're there. So anyway, just a comment, but not any reason I wouldn't come to Well STAR and not any reason that I wouldn't want Dr. Martinez to be my doctor.

My person to person interactions were wonderful. My problem was with the clear system. I preregistered at home and was told I was all set. when I get to the facility and use the machine, (kiose), It can't recognize me, and consequently it takes more time to do what I have previously done at home.

Everything was awesome. Dr. Martinez was awesome. She's very detailed and thorough with explaining and letting me know what was going on. All the nurses, everybody who helped, no staff, they were so accommodating and so sweet and honest and let me know what was going on. They were just very patient with me knowing that I was a patient that never had surgery or been under anesthesia like that. So I just really loved the experience. I felt safe. And the only thing that would make this better if you guys would stop charging us. Have a great day and I love you.
