About Li Liu, MD
Dr. Li Liu received his medical degree from Tianjin Medical University and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from The University of Eastern Finland.
He completed his neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at The State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Liu is currently in practice with WellStar Neurology and Headache Center.
Prior to his neurology residency, Dr. Liu worked as a research fellow at The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain, Columbia University Medical Center, New York. His research on the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative diseases led to a total of 21 research publications, including articles published in highly prestigious journals, such as Nature Neuroscience, and Nature Communication. In 2009, Dr. Liu received New Investigator Award from The Alzheimer’s Association

The front desk staff was wonderful and I love Dr Liu, however, I tried to call about my prescription right after I left the office. I sat on the phone for 30 min and never got through to a person. I waited 1/2 an hour and tried again and had to leave a message.

The woman at front desk was very controlling and insisted people review there paperwork standing at the desk. This resulted in a long line and some even walking away and her having to call them back by phone. Don't give folks a clipboard then insist they all stand and line up in front of you. Let them take the clipboard of info to w seat so they can more effectively review and not make everyone else have to stand behind them to check in. Additionally, I'd already paid and tried to leave and she yelled at me to get in line as she hasn't checked me out yet. I stood in line another 5+ minutes just to tell her I'll have to call to make my next annual appt and she was kind of firm that I better call and schedule it then I left anyway as that was the only reason she'd insisted I wait.

The woman at front desk was very controlling and insisted people review there paperwork standing at the desk. This resulted in a long line and some even walking away and her having to call them back by phone. Don't give folks a clipboard then insist they all stand and line up in front of you. Let them take the clipboard of info to w seat so they can more effectively review and not make everyone else have to stand behind them to check in. Additionally, I'd already paid and tried to leave and she yelled at me to get in line as she hasn't checked me out yet. I stood in line another 5+ minutes just to tell her I'll have to call to make my next annual appt and she was kind of firm that I better call and schedule it then I left anyway as that was the only reason she'd insisted I wait.
