About Kumuda Ranjan, MD
Dr. Ranjan is a board-certified family medicine physician with Wellstar. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University. She then earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College/American University of Antigua. She was a valedictorian of her class and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She completed her residency at Rutgers-Robertwood Johnson Family Medicine in New Jersey in 2015. She believes in a multifaceted approach to treating and caring for her patients which involves integrating physical, mental, and emotional aspects of health. She stresses the importance of preventative care and patient education to improve overall health and wellness. She is an active member of American Academy of Family Physicians and Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. She is also a founding member of Women Of Woodruff which supports women in STEM.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, playing piano, reading and exploring new places.

Asking a lot of questions online prior to logging in was a little challenging and stressful

The staff, the nurse, and Dr. Ranjan were all just awesome. I left Wellstar because we didn't like how the doctor treated us. We used to the east cobb health park. Our experience was pleasantly positive today. And I finally feel like I have found a primary carer for the long term.

All staffing were very courteous and helpful. Went out of their way to answer numerous questions for me on my first visit especially. I like that the office is conveniently located and doesn't require a lot of walking through buildings and parking lots to get to the actual office.

Dr. Ranjan is an amazing doctor who listens to her patients and provide the best solutions for my healthcare! However, I was a little concerned that the medical assistant was taking my blood pressure and had me open my mouth to take my temperature and take my pulse all at the same time. Yes, I believe it caused by blood pressure reading to be off. I made sure to check it when I arrived home and it was much better than the reading I received. I recommend the patients blood pressure be taken before or after the pulse and temperature to avoid inaccurate blood pressure readings. Also, I recommend when blood is drawn it be done in a room that's equipped to do so. The phlebotomist had to do too much to take my blood (i.e. prep my arm up on a pillow, sit the blood cart in the visitors chair and then move it to the doctors stool). These are recommendations to ensure accurate readings of the patients blood pressure and pulse results as well as a clean and safe blood draw.

The attention from the doctor was fantastic, very professional, but the system is very bad. I didn't know what to do, and I couldn't communicate well with the doctor. It was very difficult to see the doctor, and I had to answer too many questions on the computer, spending 45 minutes to an hour before I could finally see her, even when I was already very sick. The system didn't help, but the doctor was very good and helped me. I believe she saved my life. Thank you.
