About Kumuda Ranjan, MD
Dr. Ranjan is a board-certified family medicine physician with Wellstar. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University. She then earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College/American University of Antigua. She was a valedictorian of her class and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She completed her residency at Rutgers-Robertwood Johnson Family Medicine in New Jersey in 2015. She believes in a multifaceted approach to treating and caring for her patients which involves integrating physical, mental, and emotional aspects of health. She stresses the importance of preventative care and patient education to improve overall health and wellness. She is an active member of American Academy of Family Physicians and Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. She is also a founding member of Women Of Woodruff which supports women in STEM.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, playing piano, reading and exploring new places.

The attention from the doctor was fantastic, very professional, but the system is very bad. I didn't know what to do, and I couldn't communicate well with the doctor. It was very difficult to see the doctor, and I had to answer too many questions on the computer, spending 45 minutes to an hour before I could finally see her, even when I was already very sick. The system didn't help, but the doctor was very good and helped me. I believe she saved my life. Thank you.

Ebony, at front desk, was Exceptional, today & at my initial call for my July appt. She listened to my nervous chatter & answered my questions without judgment! Dr. Ranian is 10/10 employee - she is the model for ALL doctors - kind, listens, explains, etc. The sweet Tech & Nurse I had today need a shout out also - I am Sorry that I didn't get their names! Although I'm not the most compliant patient - I am Thrilled with my new care team!!!
