About Keith Rott, MD
Dr. Rott was introduced to rheumatology at an early age when a sibling was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. He enjoys working with patients to understand their diagnosis and their treatment so they can achieve the best possible outcome. He enjoys staying up to date with the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic diseases, but still believes in the value of listening to the patient and obtaining a complete history and performing a thorough exam in order to establish the proper diagnosis. He treats a full range of rheumatologic conditions, including all types of inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic autoimmune diseases such as lupus, crystalline arthropathies such as gout, inflammatory muscle diseases, vasculitis, and osteoporosis.
A native of Florida, Dr. Rott has lived in Georgia since moving to Atlanta to attend Emory College. He is board certified in rheumatology. He is a past president of the Georgia Society of Rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. When not in the office, he enjoys reading, any outdoor activity, and spending time with his wife, son, and 2 dogs.

Some of the Lab staff need more training on Wellstar's processes, IT system and tests they are supposed to draw blood for. I asked my lab tech if she needed the paperwork my doctor gave me and she said no it was in the system. Once I left the building I received a phone call to come back to the office to bring the paperwork. Upon arriving I was told more blood was required for 2 additional tests. This should never happen and it made me question my decision to use Wellstar.
