As a WellStar employee, I am impressed by the East Cobb facility and staff. However, because of the lengthy wait time at the Urgent Care (over 2 hours) due to the season, it was very late when I received my discharge instructions and left the facility. Because of this, all of the nearest pharmacies were closed and my husband and I had to drive to a 24 hr CVS in Woodstock. My suggestion is to consider a WellStar retail/outpatient pharmacy at the large locations such as East Cobb. This would allow patients who are visiting the urgent care as well as post surgical patients to get their meds at one time to avoid having to drive long distances at late hours or just at inconvenient times. I believe this would increase patient satisfaction as well.

Dr. Booker was amazing. She saw my entire family this visit, and she made it extremely efficient and sensical. (We all had the flu and bronchitis.) She was empathetic and, though we had all been dreading the trip to the doctor because we felt so bad, we all felt better after seeing her. The only frustration was that we had appointments but they were running an hour behind. Why were techs calling patients who weren't there for their appointments instead of seeing patients who were there on time? That was frustrating to wait while that was happening even though we were on time, but everything else was great.

The doctor was pleasant but she was in such a rush I couldn't remember my questions. The impression I got what she has only 3-4 minutes and had other things to do. That kind of rush Makes it hard for the patient to calmly ask questions. I think a slight improvement could be made in dr. Bookers communication

The front desk was not courteous, she was busy with another patient, which she was having problems finding the person's insurance information. But she never spoke to me she motion with her hands as to what I needed to do. I had already registered online and let them know through my phone that I was there, and they told me to head to the desk to complete my check-in. I told her what I just mentioned here and the above statement and she motion for me to sit my check in time was 945 and I checked in early but I noticed that I received another message for me to check in at approximately 945 but I did not make it to the desk until 10 o'clock, which was actually my appointment time and then I still had to wait for others to go ahead of me. The problem with this situation is that she never spoke to me. She only motion with her hand as to what she wanted me to do, and for me this was not at all professional.

This was on a Sunday afternoon and I was able to call into the facility. Talk to a nurse. Make sure that I could get in. They gave me a time when I got there. It was easy check-in easy to fill out. The paperwork went back saw the paraprofessionals and then the nurse and Dr. Booker all were excellent. It was a lot of work on my leg and they were able to suture it up and I am doing well highly recommend him. The care was outstanding.
