While Dr. Chun seemed knowledgeable, I was very nervous as this was my first ever physical/PCP establishment as an adult. I am concerned with my health and there are things that need to be addressed. However, both the nurse and Dr. Chun did not seem genuinely caring at all. I felt incredibly overwhelmed and rushed (in fairness I may have misunderstood what can be done at the first appointment as I have never done this, but that was not explained). I am not saying Dr. Chun should have avoided discussing my health issues, it was the manner in which they were addressed that makes me not want to come back and validated my fear of going to a PCP in the first place. For example, I stated that I have been trying to exercise 2-3 times a week. Instead of support for being on the right track and not staying sedentary, I was told to double it to 6 days. It was dismissive and I cannot be the only person who is trying to make small, realistic changes. The suggestions about my care were simply dumped on me without reassurance. I left feeling like I'm doing everything wrong, I'm fat, and I need to change every single aspect of my life just to live healthier. I know I'm overweight. I know I'm not living perfectly. I needed understanding and comments/plans that are realistic in order to reach a healthier lifestyle. Many of my issues have been due to not having enough funds to see a doctor for 10+ years, but instead it was assumed I don't care about my health. For example, I haven't seen the dentist, but I didn't have dental insurance for years. I was also working 2 or 3 jobs for 2 years straight with no time to see a dentist. If there had been a conversation about why I have avoided care, then maybe there could be some understanding. Again, Dr. Chun seems like a very knowledgeable physician but I don't believe I will return as I do not think we are the correct fit. I think someone with less anxiety than me could handle her style of practicing medicine.

First of all, the Dr wrote a note ony chart and did not write the truth, I was trying to explain something to her. She went in and lies and did not tell the truth about what I told her. Personally my personal conversation with Dr Chun should not be all over my chart so anyone can read it. I want it erased and she did not state what I said to her properly. I went to visit with her, and it was a waste of time. She's all talk. I want to find another Dr. Learn to listen to patients and there needs.

I showed up for my 1115 appointment at 1105. I was not called back to be seen until 1150. The nurse came in at 1155 and did my vitals and I was not seen by Dr. Chun until 1240. I spent time with her. I think she had great things to say, great provider, but unacceptable in terms of scheduling and time efficiency. I was out of the office for almost three hours for a simple appointment and that is unacceptable.
