Gina Askar, MD

Dr. Askar is assistant professor of medicine in the division of Infectious Diseases at Medical College of Georgia. She attended medical school at the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University in Syria and completed her internship and residency at American University of Beirut in Lebanon. She moved to Augusta to pursue a fellowship at Medical College of Georgia. Her clinical interests include bacterial infections, HIV and stewardship, while her research interests include HIV and staphylococcus aureus.
