About Edward Vollrath, MD
Dr. Vollrath received his undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry from Southern Methodist University before earning his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Dr. Vollrath has been in practice since 1995 and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Previously, he served as president of medical staff at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Dr. Vollrath was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)’s Bridges to Excellence program for his quality diabetes care and management.

Yes, Dr. Vollrath and his staff was really very good. I've been with him for a long time, since 2008. And we always talk as brother, as sister, even with my family coming with me, because I'm old, I'm 85 now. And we will talk to them, be friendly, and explain everything to them so that they can take more care and look at me thoroughly, if anything is wrong. Even we discuss up to the general language for food, everything. So that is really why I appreciate him highly, and I love him.
