Wellstar can be most pleased that a physician with the medical expertise and caring demeanor like Dr. Irlandez has, is a Wellstar physician. I have worked in hospitals most of my life side-by-side in the caring of patients with many hundreds of doctors of every specialty one can think of. Running a hospital is big business with all the money that goes with that big business. The reality is that running a hospital can mean people are often relegated to being only part of the revenue stream and nothing more. All that is the antithesis of Dr. Irlandez's approach AND that of his office staff. Having said that, this small oasis of kindness in the big pond of Kennestone is appreciated. I sent a letter to the administrator of his office extolling its virtues a while back, but it went nowhere. (There are way too many people in between the patients and caregivers.) Not every doctor office or clinic at Wellstar is as outstanding, but the Cardiovascular Medicine office is that. The nursing staff at Kennestone is also superlative and one of two shining lights at Wellstar. I am not one to give a compliment I unless it is warranted. It is due for Dr. Irlandez and his office as well as for the nursing staff.
