Whenever we have emergency health issues, we all in our family in this household go to Wellstar Urgent Care on Jiles Road. The staff is friendly, courteous, and competent.

When I checked in, the kiosk displayed that the wait was a little over an hour. I asked to wait in my car to avoid others who were sick. The staff took my cell number so I could. About 35 minutes minutes later, they called to get my information. I was told they would call me back soon. That there were only 3 ahead of me. About an hour later, they finally called me. I was taken to an exam room & vitals checked. Then given a sample cup for uti. Shown to the restroom & given instructions. Told to return to room after giving the sample & placed in window. I did that. Over 30 minutes later, I finally asked if I was going to be seen? That was just as Dr Derrer was coming to my room. I'm afraid I voiced my displeasure about how I had been treated. He was about to sit down. Instead he told me he was prescribing an antibiotic for me & turned to leave. I had to ask the kind it was. He told me & said someone would bring me my paperwork. That led to another at least 20 minute wait. I was about to walk out when the nurse brought it to me & showed me the way out! I left after 2 1/2 hours! If I had been told the wait was 2 hours,. I would have understood because I have had that kind of wait before! But only 3 others were ahead of me! I treasure this urgent care facility. I have received good care many times. But this is the absolute worst service I have ever had.

We waited an hour from the time the nurse brought us back to the time the doctor came in and were never told anything. He never addressed my daughter's possible concussion and I was diagnosed with bronchitis and was running a fever of 101.6 and he told me I could go back to work the next day.

I would just like to note that when a patient is going through Triage that the nurse should refrain from asking questions during the blood pressure check, the patient needs to be quiet & still to achieve an accurate result, during my BP check the nurse was asking me questions, I would not answer until the test was complete, then I told her I don't talk while having my BP checked ?

The people were all very nice and did a good job. I was frustrated that I made an appt on my chart for 4:40 the day before knowing I had a limited time frame for dr & received a confirmation from My Chart. But when I got there at 3:55pm they told me I had to check in on the kiosk and it removed my appt at 4:40 & said I was a walkin that had to wait behind other walking for 57 min. At 6pm I asked if I was still on the list bc I had not been called back 2 hrs later... they said 2 people left ahead of me; but when I saw 5 more called & 4 came in an hour to 1.5 hrs after me- I said my name must have been missed on the list... at 6:22 I got a vm I was on the list but no one called me and at 6:28 I saw the vm and went to the desk to ask if I should have been next & she went to tell the nurse I should be next??? Not sure what happened & why it took so much longer, but there should be a notice when you checkin that if you check in on the kiosk you will loose your scheduled appt & be behind all the other walkins... or stop allowing people to book a reserved time. I understand even with a reserved time I still may have to wait 15-30 min if they are slammed; but almost 3 hrs and after 4 that came in hours after me is not acceptable. I was nice to everyone and the nurse/dr once I got back to be seen were very positive, helpful & thorough/efficient in their medical care for me & ordering the Rx I needed for my illness! When I checked in, the kiosk displayed that the wait was a little over an hour. I asked to wait in my car to avoid others who were sick. The staff took my cell number so I could. About 35 minutes minutes later, they called to get my information. I was told they would call me back soon. That there were only 3 ahead of me. About an hour later, they finally called me. I was taken to an exam room & vitals checked. Then given a sample cup for uti. Shown to the restroom & given instructions. Told to return to room after giving the sample & placed in window. I did that. Over 30 minutes later, I finally asked if I was going to be seen? That was just as Dr Derrer was coming to my room. I'm afraid I voiced my displeasure about how I had been treated. He was about to sit down. Instead he told me he was prescribing an antibiotic for me & turned to leave. I had to ask the kind it was. He told me & said someone would bring me my paperwork. That led to another at least 20 minute wait. I was about to walk out when the nurse brought it to me & showed me the way out! I left after 2 1/2 hours! If I had been told the wait was 2 hours,. I would have understood because I have had that kind of wait before! But only 3 others were ahead of me! I treasure this urgent care facility. I have received good care many times. But this is the absolute worst service I have ever had.

Whenever we have emergency health issues, we all in our family in this household go to Wellstar Urgent Care on Jiles Road. The staff is friendly, courteous, and competent.

It was very professionally run office. I like the update that I received when my doctor was about ready to see me. Although I had to wait an hour to be seen.

Dr. Derrer was absolutely amazing. He listened to my concerns and verbalized his rationale based on recent CDC and my clinical contributing underlying health concerns. He demonstrated compassion and understanding in an efficient way.
