About Daniel Holtz, MD
Dr. Holtz earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Georgia and his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Texas – Houston Medical School. Before joining Wellstar, Dr. Holtz completed his fellowship in hand surgery at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. Prior, he was a resident physician in general surgery at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Holtz is board certified in Hand and General Surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Holtz enjoys running, swimming, World War II history and college football.

Never on time and everyone seemed rude about it. Wellstar sends messages at 3:15 asking "are you here?" with a 3:45 arrival time for a 4:00 appt. I arrived at 3:30, sat in waiting room until 4:30, finally saw doc at 4:40 for my 4pm appt. Patients time is just as valuable. Yes I understand emergencies, but this office is never on time.

My appointment was at 10:15 and I arrived at 9:50. When I arrived the receptionist said the physician had an emergency and is running 30 minutes behind. I understand emergencies happen so I waited. I waited until 11:00 and then asked the receptionist how much longer. She said 30-40 minutes. I took off work for this appointment and could not wait any longer so I left. When emergencies happen it would be greatly appreciated if patients receive a call and given the option to reschedule before leaving work and driving to the facility.

The wait time was a bit excessive, but he was very busy. He had a waiting room full of people when we got there. Also we had a 2:30 appointment and I know that I was fit in because I saw my primary doc the previous week and she scheduled my appointment with Dr. Holtz ASAP. I am going to return to see him in about 3 weeks for a in office surgical Procedure.

I was called in right on time of my appointment. Doctor Holtz was able to remove a tiny object from my right thumb without causing any pain. The check in woman and the Nurse Practitioner were very pleasant.

Doctor Daniel Holtz is a fantastic, caring, courteous, and professional Doctor. He has been my Hand Doctor for four years. He takes the time needed to explain everything clearly; and always plans my care specifically for me. He also treats my hand problems that don't require surgery- including a type of arthritis that three Rheumatologists would not treat. Rheumatologists are supposed to diagnose, and treat all 100 forms of arthritis themselves. His Receptionist, and Medical Assistants are both very knowledgable, courteous, and professional. I know of what I speak; having been a long time past R.N. Also having had three traumatic experiences with other Physicians; I know Doctor Daniel Holtz takes the time to really care for his patients. My history is complex, but he fully understands all my past complications. He takes the Hippocratic Oath very seriously; and he goes out of his way, to help, and to truly do no harm. I have recommended Doctor Daniel Holtz to two other patients. I would gladly recommend him again; as long as he is available to treat me still! I give his treatment and care 10 from me/ out of a 5 star scale!

Dr. Holtz is a very good doctor. I have been going to him for almost 5 years and never had an issue. My visits are always welcoming and the staff is very helpful. I wouldn't go to any other doctor. Both my husband and I are patients of Dr. Holtz. He is an excellent doctor.

All of my Wellstar visits with the different doctors are always on appointment time. This one was one hour later than scheduled. There were a number of people as patients so the office was busy. It was just unusual for the visit to be late.

My appointment was at 10:15 and I arrived at 9:50. When I arrived the receptionist said the physician had an emergency and is running 30 minutes behind. I understand emergencies happen so I waited. I waited until 11:00 and then asked the receptionist how much longer. She said 30-40 minutes. I took off work for this appointment and could not wait any longer so I left. When emergencies happen it would be greatly appreciated if patients receive a call and given the option to reschedule before leaving work and driving to the facility.

Never on time and everyone seemed rude about it. Wellstar sends messages at 3:15 asking "are you here?" with a 3:45 arrival time for a 4:00 appt. I arrived at 3:30, sat in waiting room until 4:30, finally saw doc at 4:40 for my 4pm appt. Patients time is just as valuable. Yes I understand emergencies, but this office is never on time.
