About Daniel Holtz, MD
Dr. Holtz earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Georgia and his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Texas – Houston Medical School. Before joining Wellstar, Dr. Holtz completed his fellowship in hand surgery at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. Prior, he was a resident physician in general surgery at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Holtz is board certified in Hand and General Surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Holtz enjoys running, swimming, World War II history and college football.

Never on time and everyone seemed rude about it. Wellstar sends messages at 3:15 asking "are you here?" with a 3:45 arrival time for a 4:00 appt. I arrived at 3:30, sat in waiting room until 4:30, finally saw doc at 4:40 for my 4pm appt. Patients time is just as valuable. Yes I understand emergencies, but this office is never on time.

My appointment was at 10:15 and I arrived at 9:50. When I arrived the receptionist said the physician had an emergency and is running 30 minutes behind. I understand emergencies happen so I waited. I waited until 11:00 and then asked the receptionist how much longer. She said 30-40 minutes. I took off work for this appointment and could not wait any longer so I left. When emergencies happen it would be greatly appreciated if patients receive a call and given the option to reschedule before leaving work and driving to the facility.

The wait time was a bit excessive, but he was very busy. He had a waiting room full of people when we got there. Also we had a 2:30 appointment and I know that I was fit in because I saw my primary doc the previous week and she scheduled my appointment with Dr. Holtz ASAP. I am going to return to see him in about 3 weeks for a in office surgical Procedure.
