Cindy was an absolute gem! I love that you have a virtual option for this kind of appointment. As a covid cautious and at risk person, I find myself avoiding going to the doctor because most of the staff are so unsafe. I'm so tired of being marginalized because health care practitioners are so behind with the reality of covid and aerosol transmission. I'm tired of being asked to take my mask off for a temperature check, then have the unmasked nurse become bothered when I ask them to take it another way (every single time I come in!). Y'all are contributing to the spread of covid, which has far reaching damage, more than colds and flus. You are seriously behind and careless. I am not alone in this and there are many of us avoiding care as a result. For instance, I've been avoiding my colonoscopy because I do not trust that doctors and nurses will take precautions, especially when I'm under anesthesia...particularly when I've had nurses decline mask wearing saying "the cdc says I don't have to". It is clear health care workers are not knowledgeable or up to date about covid, and many lack compassion and empathy, which is ironic considering their field. So, I'm appreciative of virtual appointments so I can have some care, especially during covid surges.
