Akiko Ando, MD

Dr. Akiko Ando received her medical degree from Wakayama Medical University in Wakayama, Japan. She participated in a transitional internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka in Kanagawa, Japan and completed her residency in anesthesiology at the Kyoto University Hospital in Kyoto, Japan. She also completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals/Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL, before completing her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Dr. Ando’s fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology was completed at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Dr. Ando is board-certified by American Board of Anesthesiology. She is also certified with acupuncture privileges, and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologist, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, Georgia Society of Anesthesiology and the Japanese Society of Anesthesiology.
