Our Emergency Department at Wellstar Paulding Medical Center in Hiram was created with you in mind. We provide personalized care at the very moment you need it most. Expert care delivered fast is critical in an emergency, and our board-certified physicians are trained to use advanced technology and their deep experience to give life-saving emergency care.
Our cutting-edge facility has earned the Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Center designation and is a Remote Treatment Stroke Center, ready to receive patients experiencing traumatic injury, stroke, heart attack or other serious conditions. We have achieved 2021 Level IV Trauma Designation. We are a Joint Commission certified Primary Heart Attack Center.
The specially trained staff of our Pediatric Emergency Department provide children and teens emergency care that’s tailored just for them. To help accommodate their age-appropriate needs, our Pediatric ED has its own, separate entrance.
The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) has recognized our Emergency Department with their Lantern Award. This is a distinction given to emergency departments of international renown which exemplify exceptional practice and innovative performance. Wellstar Paulding Medical Center is also the recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s highest level of recognition for performance excellence.
