At Wellstar Douglas, our Pediatric Emergency Department takes special care of our youngest patients with comprehensive, child-focused medicine. From major to minor injuries, kids need healthcare that’s specific to their needs. We are also designated as a Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Center. The Joint Commission has awarded Wellstar Douglas with certificates of distinction for Chest Pain and PCI (Percutaneous Intervention). The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Group has given us an “A” Safety Grade. We are a Remote Treatment Stroke Center and recipient of the Healthgrades Stroke Care Excellence Award, among many other national distinctions, including being named one of the country’s best maternity hospitals by Newsweek.
