Volunteering is a fun activity, with lots of hospital exposure. However, it is also a serious commitment. VolunTeens provide hundreds of hours of valuable service to our patients, visitors and team members. Wellstar Cobb Medical Center offers volunteer opportunities in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to, customer service, clinical and non-clinical departments, patient transport and wayfinding.
The VolunTeen program is for high school students aged 16-18 interested in a career in healthcare. Please note that the teen program is competitive. We offer limited spots to the most qualified applicants. The selection process requires a 15-minute interview, which will occur in March or April. If you are selected for an interview, you will receive a formal email with all pertinent details. If accepted into the program, you must attend a 2-hour orientation session and complete all required paperwork.
College Students
If you are a college student seeking summer volunteer opportunities, visit our volunteer page and complete the application process. Please note that you must complete the application and on-boarding process by June 1 to be eligible to volunteer. College students must be available to volunteer for 6 weeks during the summer to be eligible for consideration.
