About Stephen Cox, DO
Dr. Cox's educational background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in Physics from The University of Georgia, where he also participated in the thriving Athens music scene. He earned a doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from PCOM Georgia - the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine branch campus at Suwannee, GA. Finally, he completed three years at Atlanta Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program.
Professionally, Dr. Cox maintains membership with the American Academy of Family Physicians, which has been his primary source of continuing medical education since graduating from residency.
Personally, Dr. Cox and his wife Rubina, who is also a family doc, live in Alpharetta. They are blissfully busy with their two children, Julie and Ethan. They spend their time in various sport and music lessons and try to live a happy and full life.

Dr Steven Cox is the most caring professional and understanding physician I would recommend him and do recommend him to everyone he really does care about the health of others in fixing any ailments or problems they may have WellStar health system I believe is very blessed to have him as part of their team he is definitely an asset to your medical team and an asset to all patients under his care I know I am truly blessed to have him as a healthcare provider and would not see anyone other than him he is trustworthy and understands the needs of his patients Dr Cox also has great bedside manner. Which is hard to find nowadays with physicians he treats patients with the utmost respect true sincerity and concern for the healthcare needs if he is unsure at time of service he will research until he figures it out but he has always found a way it's nice to have a physician that actually cares and wants to help I will forever be grateful for Dr Cox's willingness without complaint to help me with my health care needs. If only all positions cared about their patients as much as Dr Cox. I will be forever him. I cannot say enough about Dr Cox that could express my gratefulness for him. The wait is outrageous 3 visits on average about 90 minute wait. I was basically told by the director after I voiced my opinion it is all about the schedule and money we take in for revenue. I am a number and Wellstar doesn't want to care about the patient. I am not saying the Doctor so I am clear. Wellstar should start paying me in 30 minute increments for being late for my time. Another idea would be pickup the phone and tell me to come 60 minutes later then I wouldn't have to write a review like this one.

I was impressed with the test, the cognitive test that was given to me. This was very, very good because it was the first time that I've had a cognitive test done like that and it was really, really good and I really appreciated that. I also was kind of upset when I got to the office, but after speaking to the doctor, he kind of allayed my fears. So I think that was really well said by him. Even though I had some concerns, he was able, you know, to know that we can work in order to get me feeling better. So I appreciated that. That's all. I think overall the visit was well, well worth my effort coming into the office. Excellent.
