Patient Privacy
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) includes rules pertaining to increased and standardized confidentiality and security of health data. HIPAA privacy regulations require that access to patient information be limited to only those authorized, and that only the information necessary for a task be available to them. Personal health information is always protected and kept confidential. Unless otherwise instructed, visitors of WellStar hospitals can be provided the location of a patient and general information about their condition. Visiting Hours & Policies
Visitors can be good medicine for patients. We welcome family members and friends to visit often, and recognize our regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.) may not meet your needs. Should you want to access our facility after regular business hours, please follow these instructions:
- Park in the main front parking lot directly in front of the hospital. Come to Entrance “A” at the double glass doors. Use the phone on the wall to call LTAC at 41341 and our staff will provide access.
- Children under the age of 12 are welcome to visit; however, prior arrangements must be made. Children must be free from infections such as runny noses, cough or fever. Children must be accompanied by an adult and we ask you to keep the visit brief.
Tobacco Policy
As of January 1, 2012, our campus is tobacco-free. Tobacco use of any kind is not permitted anywhere on hospital grounds. Your cooperation is appreciated.
WiFi:
WellStar Windy Hill Hospital offers wireless internet services. Free access is available in public areas of the hospital.
