Anderson joined WellStar in March 2005.  Prior to WellStar, Anderson’s career included being administrator for a South Texas Children’s hospital, serving in administrator and COO roles in acute care hospitals in Texas and holding key human resources and compliance positions in large health systems in Texas and Virginia.
Michael Andrews, M.D., Chief Cancer Network Officer Michael Andrews, M.D., Chief Cancer Network Officer
Andrews practices at the Northwest Georgia Oncology Center. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology and oncology at Vanderbilt University.  Andrews is active in the STAT Cancer Clinic and Breast and GI malignancy conferences.

Beckford practices at WellStar Medical Group, Pediatric & Adolescent Center.   She is an Academy of Pediatrics fellow and past Georgia chapter president.  She completed her residency at Penn State Children’s Hospital and her medical degree at the University of Cape Town. She joined the WellStar Board of Trustees in 2011.

Brywczynski joined WellStar in April 2010. Coming from Dayton, Ohio, he held positions such as president, Vanguard Imaging Partners, LLC, and vice president, strategic planning and business development for Good Samaritan Hospital/Premier Health Partners. He has led the development of some of the first major community-based ambulatory strategies.

Budzinski joined WellStar in July 2008. Prior to this, he served as CFO for other integrated health systems including top-ranked St. John’s Health System. He was previously a partner with a Big 6 accounting firm. In 1999, he was selected as an international emerging healthcare leader by AHA.

Busbee practices at WellStar Medical Group, Kennestone OB/GYN. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his OB/GYN residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga., where he was chief resident.

Campbell joined WellStar in August 2004.  He practiced as a general surgeon at WellStar Cobb Hospital from 1980 to 2004, when he joined the administrative team as medical director for the hospital. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and his MBA from Kennesaw State University.

Corey joined WellStar in 1999.  In addition to managed care, she has responsibility for WellStar Health Place, WellStar retail operations and the System’s day care operations.  Prior to joining WellStar, Corey was director of operations with Prudential Health Care.

Delk joined WellStar in February 1995.  After completing her internal medicine training at the Medical College of Georgia, she started her practice in Woodstock, Ga., and joined the WellStar Kennestone Hospital medical staff.  She was one of the first members of the WellStar Medical Group.

Haney joined WellStar in October 1978.  During his 33 years with WellStar, he has held several senior executive positions at both the hospital and System level. He is a member of the Center for Healthcare Design, United Way Advisory Board and Paulding County Chamber of Commerce.

Jansen is a graduate of the Emory University School of Medicine and has a master’s degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University.  He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and was one of the original leaders of the WellStar Medical Group, which was formed in 1994.

Jennings joined WellStar in August 2011. He has nearly 35 years of extensive experience as a hands-on hospital operating executive. From February 2004 until December 2006, he served as COO of Tenet Healthcare Corporation with oversight of 69 core acute care hospitals and other facilities in 13 states.

Kane joined WellStar in January 2008.  He has more than 26 years of healthcare consulting experience in strategy, physician-hospital partnerships, certificate of need applications and organizational design. Previously, he was a partner at KPMG.

Little joined WellStar in 1997. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience. His background includes leadership in multiple post acute venues. He serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Long Term Hospitals and The Center for Family Resources.

Mangel practices at WellStar Medical Group, Cardiovascular Medicine.  He is a board-certified, interventional cardiologist. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Boston University and completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He is on staff at WellStar Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone and Paulding hospitals.

Mayfield practices at WellStar Medical Group, Thoracic Surgery Associates.  He is board certified in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed his residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and his fellowship at Shands at the University of Florida.

Menefee joined WellStar in June 1992.  During her 19 years, she has served in a variety of leadership positions with overall management responsibility for the WellStar brand. She is a highly recognized community leader having served on numerous boards. She is a member of the Cobb Chamber Board of Directors.

Morris is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed post-graduate training at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and has been an emergency department physician since 1986 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University. Morris became WellStar’s first chief medical information officer in 2009 and became CIO in December 2011.

Mullins joined WellStar in April 2012. Previous roles include chief executive officer for Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s Saint Francis Hospital – Bartlett, and chief operating officer for Atlanta Medical Center and Tenet Healthcare’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. Mullins holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., and a master’s degree in finance from Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky.

Muster practices at WellStar Medical Group, Pulmonary Medicine.  He is board certified in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.  He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, completed his residency at Brown University-Rhode Island Hospital and his fellowship at Brown University.

Owens joined WellStar in April 2009. Owens has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in healthcare. Prior to WellStar, Craig served as chief operating officer for Kingman Regional Medical Center, the largest healthcare provider in northwestern Arizona.

Reichert joined WellStar in January 2011.  Previously, he was a partner at Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs L.L.P., where he represented hospitals and physicians in matters including civil and criminal healthcare fraud litigation, medical staff privileges and certificate of need.  Prior to this, Reichert was a federal prosecutor in Atlanta.

Saunders joined WellStar in May 2007. She began her career as a cardiac nurse and has more than 30 years of healthcare experience.  Prior to WellStar, she was vice president of Innova Health System and served as COO of Innova Fairfax Hospital and Innova Heart and Vascular Institute.

Tharp practices at WellStar Medical Group, East Paulding Primary Care Center.  He earned his Doctorate of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He also has a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University. Tharp joined the WellStar Board of Trustees in 1997.

Wesley joined WellStar in March 2010. She has more than 20 years of nursing leadership experience. Prior to joining WellStar, Wesley served for eight years as vice president of nursing services and chief nurse executive for Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, a seven-hospital system in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Woods joined WellStar in May 2012. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and WellStar Kennestone Hospital chief operating officer. Prior to WellStar, he served as senior vice president of Verras and vice president of operations at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Woods holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
